Case Study - Glasshouse Partnership
Glasshouse Partnership are a PR and communications agency based in London. Springmedia were first introduced to Glasshouse Partnership when they had experienced some problems with an html email that they had sent out to clients and customers. Springmedia worked with them to develop a more robust email newsletter format and worked with them to enable them to edit the newlsetter themselves so that they could update it and send it out themselves with out any difficulty.
Following on from the email newsletter, Glasshouse Partnership decided that they wanted to update their existing website from being previously an all flash site, to a site that utilised both flash and html design. Their existing site had a WOW factor with the initial flash image, but it was difficult to update and the flash was slow to download. Springmedia were able to recreate the flash animation and make it more user friendly and a faster download, while maintaining the visual impact on the site.
We also made the site design more search engine friendly by creating a text based navigation bar and encouraged Glasshouse Partnership to incorporate more html based pages on their site. The initial design process took many iterations to get to the final solution, but with each step we got closer to providing the client with the design that they wanted. Springmedia updated the design of the site by keeping with the black, white and grey tones, but adding splashes of colour for contrast. The site has been built so that the client is able to update their own content with ease and keep it fresh. We also identified new images that would reflect the content on the site and effectively managed the costs without compromising on quality.
The blog, news, podcast and ideas pages have been implemented by an inhouse Glasshouse Partnership specialist using Wordpress and have been incorporated effectively using the style and theme of the rest of the site.
Springmedia works closely with clients to make sure that they are happy with the final product. We are happy to re-work our designs until we find the solution that is going to work best for them. |

Glasshouse Partnership Client Testimonial
“Patience is a virtue, and Julie has it in abundance. We are a difficult and demanding client, but Julie understood our needs, persevered, and coaxed us to a much better solution than we could have reached alone. Her great design skills were an added bonus!”
